These poppies thrive in cooler climates and produce beautiful blooms that are white, yellow, and orange in color. They can be grown in warmer climates, however plant early as possible and will only grow as an annual. In cooler climates it often grows as a perennial.
To direct sow poppy seeds plant in spring after frost has past. Find a nice sunny location with at least 6 hours of full sun; they need sunlight to germinate. Make sure soil is well drained, but has plenty of rich manure or compost. Scatter thinly to create a natural look. Poppies can take up to 3 weeks to germinate.
