Dandelion leaves are commonly used in salads or cooked like you would collard greens! Can either be planted for a spring crop or fall crop whichever you desire Cold weather will give them a little better taste than warmer weather. Don't let it go to seed however, best eaten when tender and young.
To direct sow dandelion seeds plant in spring after frost has past. Find a nice sunny location with at least 6 hours of full sun. Make sure soil is well drained, but has rich manure or compost added. Scatter thinly to create a natural look. Harvest greens and enjoy.
