Direct sowing, Lavender is a slow grower so we recommend starting them indoors 6 to 12 weeks before setting out in the garden. Sow seeds in a seed tray and keep soil moist and at a temperature around 70 degrees until they emerge. They should emerge in 14 to 21 days, but can take up to a month. Make sure they can receive daily light once they have sprouted. Once danger of frost has past plant them in well drained even alkaline soil about 18 inches apart.
