The Garden Peach Tomato, What a Tomato!
This year was the first time we have ever grown the Garden Peach tomato. We first heard
about last year and were excited to give it a shot, after all we are in the Peach state so we though
that would be a good one to add to our stock. It's name rings true in terms of the fact that the
Garden Peach is somewhat fuzzy on the skin and also it has a peach color with light pink
blushing.
We quickly decided that the Garden Peach was a new favorite here on our
farmstead since it is very vigorous, has strong roots, and doesn't mind the
scorching heat. As you can see below it does quite well in Georgia and also
makes a good container variety if you don't have much space. Just make sure
you support them well since more than once we had vines falling over with
delicious fruit. It has a mild delightful flavor that goes good on a sandwich,
salad, or just eaten fresh! So if you're looking for a new one to try this year give
a Garden Peach a shot it's a dandy to grow!
