How to Save Orange Cayenne Pepper Seeds
Peppers are primarily self-pollinating, though cross-pollination can occur between plants of the same species. To help maintain seed purity, separate pepper varieties by approximately 500 feet whenever possible.
Allow peppers to fully ripen and dry on the plant before harvesting for seed saving. Once mature, cut open the peppers and remove the seeds carefully. Spread seeds in a dry well-ventilated location and allow them to dry thoroughly for at least one week before storing in a cool dry place.
