Cumin is an earthy pungent herb used in many popular dishes such a chili, curry and hummus! Both leaves and seeds can be used to flavor food. Very vigorous grower so make sure to give them their own area. Doesn't mind drier weather.

How to Grow
Cumin is sensitive to cold therefore seeds need to be planted in warm soil after all danger of frost has passed. Or you can start 4 to 6 weeks indoors before last expected frost. If you do transplant wait until at least 65 degree soil temp is reached. Add organic matter to the soil and a good balanced organic fertilizer. Make sure soil is well drained too. This plant is grown as an annual so wait until flower heads appear and allow to mature. Then harvest seeds and store in an airtight container for future food or garden use.
