 How to grow

Prepare the soil: Canada anemones grow best in well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter. Before planting, loosen the soil to a depth of about 6 inches and mix in some compost or well-rotted manure. Plant the seeds: In the spring, when the soil has warmed up, scatter the seeds on the prepared soil and lightly cover with a thin layer of soil. Water the area gently to avoid washing away the seeds. Care for the seedlings: Canada anemone seeds will germinate in about 2-3 weeks. Once the seedlings have grown to about 2 inches tall, thin them to about 12 inches apart to give them room to grow. Water the seedlings regularly, especially during dry spells. Enjoy your plants: Canada anemones will bloom in the late spring or early summer and will continue to bloom for several weeks. They make excellent cut flowers and attract pollinators to your garden.
