★ Organically grown on our farm

Ha'Ogen melon is a rare old Hungarian heirloom muskmelon treasured for its extraordinary aroma, beautiful coloration, and remarkably complex sweet flavor. This exceptional melon variety produces stunning oval-shaped fruits with glowing golden skin accented by elegant green streaks, creating one of the most visually striking melons in the garden.

The tender green flesh delivers a wonderfully rich aromatic flavor that combines refreshing sweetness with subtle tropical undertones. As the fruits ripen, their fragrance intensifies dramatically, filling the garden with sweet perfume and signaling peak ripeness. Harvest is best when the melons transition from green to warm amber tones and release their unmistakable aroma.

Ha'Ogen melon plants are vigorous and highly productive, producing abundant fruits on sprawling healthy vines throughout the growing season. They thrive in fertile well-drained soil with full sunlight and warm growing conditions. Consistent watering encourages healthy vine development and exceptionally flavorful melons.

Beautiful, fragrant, and bursting with flavor, Ha'Ogen melon remains one of the finest heirloom muskmelons for gardeners seeking rare varieties with unforgettable taste and aroma.

How to Save Seeds

Melons will not cross with cucumbers or squash but will cross with other melon varieties. Muskmelons and watermelons belong to separate plant families and will not cross-pollinate with one another.

For maintaining seed purity, isolate melon varieties by at least one-quarter mile whenever possible.

Allow fruits to fully ripen on the vine before harvesting seeds. Once harvested, let melons cure for several days to complete seed maturity.

Cut open the melon, scoop out the seeds, and clean them thoroughly using the same fermentation and washing process commonly used for cucumbers. Dry seeds completely before storing in a cool dry location for future planting.
