★ Organically grown on our farm

Black Cherry Tomato is a highly sought-after heirloom cherry tomato variety known for its rich sweet flavor and unique deep mahogany coloring. Despite the name, the fruits are actually a beautiful dark chocolate-red shade that adds striking color and gourmet appeal to salads, snack trays, and garden harvest baskets.

These small juicy tomatoes are prized for their exceptionally sweet full-bodied flavor with a rich old-fashioned tomato taste. Their tender texture and balanced sweetness make them perfect for fresh snacking, salads, roasting, and garnishes.

Black Cherry tomatoes grow on vigorous indeterminate vines that continue producing heavily throughout the growing season until frost. Each plant yields clusters of delicious quarter-sized fruits over an extended harvest period, providing gardeners with a continuous supply of flavorful tomatoes all summer long.

Easy to grow, productive, and visually stunning, Black Cherry Tomato has become a favorite among home gardeners, chefs, and heirloom tomato collectors alike.

How to Save Seeds

Tomatoes are primarily self-pollinating, so separating varieties by approximately 50 feet is generally sufficient for maintaining seed purity.

Harvest fully ripe tomatoes and allow them to sit for several days if desired before processing seeds.

Cut tomatoes in half and scoop the seeds and pulp into a mason jar with a small amount of water. Allow the mixture to ferment in a warm location out of direct sunlight for 5-7 days.

After fermentation, remove floating debris and mold, then rinse the remaining viable seeds thoroughly through a fine mesh strainer.

Spread seeds on paper towels or drying screens and stir regularly during drying to prevent sticking. Once fully dry, store seeds in a cool dry location for future planting.
