★ Organically grown on our farm
The Diente De Perro pepper, often referred to as the Dog Tooth Pepper, is a striking heirloom variety admired for its slender elongated shape and fiery red color. Resembling the pointed tooth of a canine, this unique pepper brings both ornamental beauty and bold culinary flavor to gardens and kitchens alike. Young peppers begin as glossy green fruits before maturing into brilliant deep red pods that create stunning contrast against lush green foliage.
The plants themselves are elegant and productive, featuring slender stems, broad dark green leaves, and delicate white blossoms that eventually develop into clusters of spicy peppers. Diente De Perro peppers thrive in warm sunny environments and perform exceptionally well in fertile well-drained soil enriched with organic matter.
Easy to grow for both beginner and experienced gardeners, these peppers require at least six hours of direct sunlight daily along with regular watering while avoiding overly saturated soil conditions. Their dependable productivity and heat tolerance make them especially suitable for southern gardens and warmer climates.
In the kitchen, Diente De Perro peppers offer a bold spicy flavor ideal for salsas, sauces, marinades, drying, and grinding into flavorful pepper powder. They can also be pickled for a zesty addition to countless dishes. With their vibrant appearance, excellent productivity, and versatile culinary uses, these peppers are a rewarding addition to any home garden.

How to Save Diente De Perro Pepper Seeds
Peppers are primarily self-pollinating, though cross-pollination can occur within the same species. To preserve seed purity, separate pepper varieties by at least 500 feet whenever possible.
Allow Diente De Perro peppers to fully ripen and dry naturally on the plant before harvesting. Once harvested, cut the peppers open and carefully remove the seeds.
Spread the seeds out in a dry well-ventilated area and allow them to dry thoroughly for approximately one week before storing them in a cool dry place for future planting seasons. The dry seed-saving method works exceptionally well for peppers.
