Dotted St. John's Wort, also known as Hypericum punctatum, is a flowering plant native to North America. It is a member of the Hypericaceae family, which includes other types of St. John's Wort. Dotted St. John's Wort is a perennial plant that can grow up to three feet tall.  How to grow

First, it's important to choose the right location. Saint John's Wort prefers full sun, so choose a spot in your garden that receives at least six hours of direct sunlight each day. The soil should be well-draining and slightly alkaline.  Next, prepare the soil by adding compost or other organic matter. This will help improve soil fertility and drainage, which are important for healthy plant growth. When it comes to planting, you can either start with seeds or transplant seedlings from your greenhouse. If planting from seed, sow them in the spring or fall, when temperatures are mild. If planting seedlings, wait until after the last frost before planting them in the ground. Once planted, be sure to water your Saint John's Wort regularly, especially during hot, dry weather. Fertilize once a month with a balanced fertilizer to encourage healthy growth. Finally, be sure to prune your Saint John's Wort regularly to keep it looking its best. Prune in the spring or fall, removing any dead or damaged branches.
