How to Save Seeds

Radishes readily cross-pollinate with other radish varieties, so isolation by approximately one-quarter mile is recommended for maintaining seed purity.

In northern climates, plant radishes for seed production in spring. In southern climates, fall planting is generally preferred for overwintering and seed development.

Allow flower stalks and seed pods to fully mature and dry on the plants. Once pods turn brown and dry, harvest and shell them to collect seeds for future planting.

Store cleaned seeds in a cool dry location to preserve viability for future growing seasons.
