The Marglobe Supreme is a variety of tomato that belongs to the Solanaceae family; it is a favorite among gardeners due to its robust growth and disease resistance. This heirloom tomato is known for its medium-sized, globe-shaped fruits, which typically weigh between 6 to 8 ounces. The Marglobe Supreme is favored not only for its delicious flavor but also for its versatility in culinary applications; it is excellent for slicing, canning, and making sauces.

The Marglobe Supreme has a relatively short maturation period, typically reaching harvest in about 75 to 80 days from transplanting. It is also known for its determinate growth habit, meaning the plant grows to a certain height and sets all its fruit within a short period; this trait makes it ideal for gardeners who seek a concentrated harvest. By providing proper care and meeting its growing requirements, you can enjoy a bountiful yield of flavorful tomatoes throughout the growing season.

How to Save Seeds

Tomatoes are self pollinating, so separate by 50ft is sufficient. Harvest tomatoes when ripe and you can even let them set for a week or so before saving seeds. Once you are ready to harvest simply cut in half scoop out seeds and pulp into a mason jar of water for fermenting. Then seal jar with a lid and place in and warm place out of direct sunlight. After 5 to 7 days of fermenting pour out seeds floating on top of the water along with mold and then pour rest of the good seeds, on the bottom, over a fine mess strainer to catch them. Dry well in fine mesh or paper towels but turn often so they don't stick to paper.
