★ Organically grown on our farm

Zeebest okra is a remarkable heirloom variety originating from Louisiana and prized for its exceptionally long tender pods, outstanding productivity, and rich savory flavor. This unique variety produces beautifully curved pods that can grow up to 10 inches long while still remaining tender and flavorful far longer than many traditional okra varieties.

The pods have a mild savory taste and excellent texture that make them ideal for gumbo, stews, sautéing, frying, grilling, and fresh summer cooking. Their impressive tenderness and extended harvesting window allow gardeners to enjoy large flavorful pods without the rapid toughness that can develop in other okra varieties.

Zeebest okra plants are vigorous and highly productive, thriving in warm sunny conditions with fertile well-drained soil. Frequent harvesting encourages even greater pod production throughout the growing season, rewarding gardeners with abundant harvests from compact yet dependable plants.

Flavorful, productive, and easy to grow, Zeebest okra remains a standout heirloom favorite for gardeners seeking tender oversized pods and excellent garden performance.

How to Save Seeds

Okra is usually self-pollinating, though crossing between varieties can occur when grown nearby. For greater seed purity, isolate varieties whenever possible.

Allow pods to fully mature and dry on the stalk until they become hard and woody. Mature pods will naturally dry and prepare seeds for harvest.

Once pods are completely dry, remove them from the plant and crack them open carefully to collect the mature seeds from inside.

Allow seeds to dry thoroughly before storing in a cool dry location for future planting.
