How to Save NuMex Twilight Pepper Seeds
NuMex Twilight Peppers are primarily self-pollinating, but cross-pollination can occur between peppers of the same species. To maintain seed purity, separate different pepper varieties by at least 500 feet whenever possible.
Allow peppers to fully ripen and dry naturally on the plant before harvesting for seed saving. Mature peppers intended for seed collection will develop their final deep red coloration before drying. Once harvested, carefully cut open the peppers and scoop out the seeds. Spread the seeds out on a paper towel, screen, or drying rack in a warm, well-ventilated area. Allow NuMex Twilight Pepper seeds to dry thoroughly for approximately one week before storing them in a cool, dry location for future planting seasons.
