★ Organically grown on our farm

Purple Leaf Heart Pepper is an exceptionally rare and truly eye-catching heirloom pepper variety unlike anything else available. This striking plant produces beautiful purple-black tapered peppers that range from 1 to 3 inches long and stand out dramatically against the plant’s dark ornamental foliage.

The peppers offer a mild yet pleasantly spicy flavor that works wonderfully for pickling, stuffing, roasting, or fresh use. As the fruits fully mature, they gradually transition from deep purple-black to vibrant red, adding even more visual appeal to the garden.

Plants are productive, vigorous, and highly ornamental, making them just as valuable for landscape beauty as for culinary use. Their unusual coloration and rarity make them a prized addition for collectors and heirloom pepper enthusiasts alike.

Rare, beautiful, and flavorful, Purple Leaf Heart Pepper is a one-of-a-kind variety that brings color, heat, and uniqueness to any garden.

How to Save Seeds

Peppers are primarily self-pollinating, but they can cross-pollinate with other peppers within the same species. To maintain seed purity, separate varieties by at least 500 feet.

Allow peppers to fully ripen and dry on the plant before harvesting for seed saving.

Once harvested, cut the peppers open and remove the seeds. Spread the seeds out in a dry well-ventilated location and allow them to dry thoroughly for about a week before storage.

Store fully dried seeds in a cool dry place for future planting seasons.

    Easy growers!

These grew easily for me. I started them indoors under grow lights and moved them outdoors in May as transplants. They are big producers and have the prettiest flowers! It's July now and they are starting to turn red for me. I can't wait to eat them!
