How to Grow
To grow red amaranth, you will need to start by selecting a location with well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight. If you are growing red amaranth in a pot, make sure that the pot has drainage holes to prevent water-logging. Next, you will need to sow the seeds in the soil or pot. Sow the seeds about 1/4 inch deep and 1 inch apart. After sowing the seeds, gently water the soil to keep it moist but not water-logged. Red amaranth requires regular watering, especially during dry spells. Make sure to water the plant deeply at least once a week. You can also fertilize the plant with a balanced fertilizer every two weeks to help it grow strong and healthy. As the plant grows, you can pinch off the tips of the stems to encourage branching and bushier growth. This will result in a fuller and more productive plant. You can also harvest the leaves of the plant as needed for salads, stir-fries, or other dishes.
