Caribbean Red Habanero is a stunning heirloom hot pepper variety prized for its intense heat, brilliant red color, and distinctive fruity aroma. Even hotter than traditional orange habaneros, these fiery peppers deliver bold flavor and powerful spice that heat lovers truly appreciate.

The stout productive plants produce abundant harvests of eye-catching red peppers later in the growing season. Caribbean Red Habaneros are excellent for hot sauces, salsas, spicy seasonings, marinades, drying, and adding intense heat to countless dishes while still offering rich fruity undertones.

This heat-loving pepper variety thrives in warm sunny conditions and performs wonderfully in gardens, raised beds, containers, and homestead plantings. A favorite among hot pepper enthusiasts, specialty growers, and adventurous cooks seeking extreme heat with exceptional flavor.

How to Save Seeds

Peppers are primarily self-pollinating, but cross pollination can still occur between varieties within the same species. For maintaining seed purity, separate compatible pepper varieties by at least 500 feet whenever possible.

Allow peppers to fully ripen and dry naturally on the plant before harvesting for seed saving. Mature peppers should have fully developed color and firm healthy seeds inside.

Cut open the mature peppers carefully and scoop out the seeds. Spread the seeds out on paper towels, screens, or trays and allow them to dry completely for approximately one week.

Once fully dried, store the seeds in labeled airtight containers or envelopes in a cool dry location until ready for future planting.
