Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains, our solar-powered farm embodies the essence of sustainable living and agricultural heritage. We honor the land by merging time-tested traditions with innovative ideas, sowing seeds that flourish in biodiversity.
Harnessing the sun’s energy, our farm operates with minimal environmental impact. This renewable power fuels our daily routines, fostering a self-sufficient haven aligned with our values of conservation and sustainability.
Through organic cultivation, we nurture a rich tapestry of plants that enrich the soil and preserve the environment. Eschewing synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, we rely on natural compost and crop rotation to keep our soil alive and thriving. This method ensures pure produce while nurturing a vibrant ecosystem. We also partner with fellow growers to secure a steady supply of varieties that we cherish but lack the space to grow.
Reviving heirloom fruits and vegetables is one of our cherished aims. These once-lost treasures possess unique traits and flavors worth preserving. By reintroducing them, we expand biodiversity and offer our community a taste of history.
Each task here is lovingly performed by hand, deepening our connection with customers. From planting to harvest, we engage directly with the earth, attuned to our plants’ needs. This intimate approach allows us to keenly monitor plant health and ensure each crop reaches its full glory.
Our farm showcases flourishing rows of heirloom tomatoes, fragrant herbs, and vibrant flowers. Every plant embodies our dedication to quality and sustainability, cultivated with a deep passion for cherished traditions that have stood the test of time.
Through sharing our journey, we aim to inspire others to embrace sustainable practices and recognize the significance of preserving agricultural diversity. Our off-grid sanctuary in the Blue Ridge Mountains stands as a testament to the beautiful coexistence of farming and environmental stewardship.
With much gratitude and love,
Andy and Jenny Dixon

We have signed The Safe Seed Pledge.

"Agriculture and seeds provide the basis upon which our lives depend. We must protect this foundation as a safe and genetically stable source for future generations. For the benefit of all farmers, gardeners and consumers who want an alternative, we pledge that we do not knowingly buy or sell genetically engineered seeds or plants. The mechanical transfer of genetic material outside of natural reproductive methods and between genera, families or kingdoms poses great biological risks, as well as economic, political and cultural threats. We feel that genetically engineered varieties have been insufficiently tested prior to public release. More research and testing is necessary to further assess the potential risks of genetically engineered seeds. Further, we wish to support agricultural progress that leads to healthier soils, genetically diverse agricultural ecosystems and ultimately healthy people and communities."
We are not in any way associated with Monsanto or any other seed altering corporation.
