How to Save Sparkler Radish Seeds

Sparkler Radishes can cross-pollinate with other radish varieties, so separate different varieties by approximately one-quarter mile to maintain seed purity.

In northern climates, plant radishes for seed saving in spring. In southern climates, fall planting is often preferred for successful overwintering and seed production. During the following growing season, Sparkler Radish plants will send up tall flowering stalks that eventually develop small seed pods. Allow the pods to fully mature and dry on the plant until they turn brown and brittle.

Once dry, harvest the pods and shell them carefully to collect the seeds. Store Sparkler Radish seeds in a cool, dry place for future planting seasons.
